National Lottery Grant Scheme
The Department of Children and Youth Affairs has a National Lottery Discretionary fund in place which provides once-off grants to community groups and voluntary organisations with an involvement in the provision of Children's and Youth services.
Statutory basis
The National Lottery Act 1986.
Amount of fund
The Department of Children and Youth Affairs entire 2012 allocation is €500,000.
Who can apply
Applications come primarily from community groups and voluntary organisations with an involvement in the provision of Child and Youth services (for example to provide equipment for youth clubs, mini-buses, etc.) and once off programs.
N.B. Funding is not available for ongoing running / staffing costs.

Closing Date
The application process for 2012 is closed as of Friday, 28th September, 2012.
Applications are only accepted from groups or organisations operating within the State.
