AbstractEndeavors to capture an essence of the views, deliberations, ideas and suggestions expressed by the seventy seven children and young people aged between 8-17 years that attended the consultation event: Children’s Advertising Code organised by The Broadcasting Commission of Ireland and the National Children’s Office held at Croke Park, Dublin on 24th January 2004. The report is divided into seven sections: Section One: Introduction, Section Two: details the methodology used, Section Three: reflects on key themes emerging from the discussions and illustrations, Section Four: provides recommendations for the children’s advertising code; Section Five: provides recommendations for the ongoing involvement of children; Section Six: expresses a few concluding words; Section Seven: ‘appendices’ has a copy of the programme: ‘timetable and responsibilities’ & facilitators’ methodology pack.
