Housing authorities assess and collect information on applicants on a daily basis. The statutory Housing Needs Assessment Variables takes place on a triennial basis (every 3 years). |

Household |
| Format |
Amalgamated at local authority level. |
| Method |
Initially, data are collected on a household level using the paper-based ‘Application for Housing Accommodation’ form. Data are computerised upon completion and amalgamated to inform the national element (statutory Housing Needs Assessment). |
