| Method |
Mainly computerised through web-based system. The information on the database is gathered by those who are in contact with people with intellectual disabilities, such as service providers, HSE Local Health Offices, voluntary bodies, community care workers, public health nurses, school principals and others involved in education. The information is given to the Health Service Executive and a regional database is compiled for each HSE region. The regional databases are then sent to the Health Research Board for collation at national level. |
