Since 2006, data are recorded from all hospital emergency departments in the country.
Annually, approximately 12,000 deliberate self-harm presentations are recorded.
The NSRF works with colleagues in Northern Ireland to establish a similar registry there. There are similar registries in most European countries on a regional basis. |
